Masato and Kyousuke are up first and Masato hits it across the field and on to the roof, so they are successful. Riki doesn’t agree but Kyousuke really gives him no choice. Kyousuke says that it will just be one home run instead because they can’t stay in the rain. They have a few practice swings but then it starts to pour. Whoever gets three home runs first wins but just as they are about to start, it starts to rain. This is surprising to us and Riki since he is almost always on Riki’s side, but during this part he was very serious and not making any jokes. Kyousuke decides they should have a baseball match and they will play in teams of two - Kengo and Riki vs. They go to Kyousuke and challenge him to a match where if they win, Rin doesn’t have to go back to the school but if Kyousuke wins, then she has to go back. Seeing this, Riki decides he has to make a change and tells Kengo about Kyousuke planning everything to make Rin more independent and Kengo says he will stand on Riki’s side. When Rin finally does come home on the weekend, she collapses when she sees him and just lays in bed depressed, not talking and almost too weak to walk. This makes him really mad and when he finally gets the message of Rin crying, he storms off angrily but is stopped by Kyousuke who asks him to deal with it a little longer and he will allow Rin to come home on the weekends - Riki agrees. Rin can’t get in touch with Komari either and Komari can’t get in touch with Rin, so Riki figures that Kyousuke must have did something to Rin’s phone so she can’t communicate with anyone besides him. Each message is just sadder than the last until she sends an emoticon of her crying which means that she is actually crying since all the messages she sent were very literal. Rin heads off to the new school and each time she texts Riki, she tells him how miserable, lonely and depressed she is. Riki says that he agrees that she might have needed the help but he can’t accept that Kyousuke made her make friends the Little Busters! baseball team, just to tear it apart. Sending her off to a new school is just another step in the plan. Riki realizes that Kyousuke planned everything they did, from creating the baseball team to make her some friends, to sending the letters to Rin, all in order to make her stand on her own and become more independent.
A lot happened in this episode and I fear the next ones to come. I cried for some parts and the rest I was just on the verge of tears.
